From September 28th to 29th, the conference “Digitalisierung in der kulturellen Bildung: What`s next?!“ (Digitalisation in Cultural Education: What`s next?) of the BMBF funding line “Digitalisierung in der kulturellen Bildung” (Digitalisation in Cultural Education) took place in Nuremberg. The aim was to think outside the box and to transfer the experiences and results gathered in the projects into the field. In addition to a keynote speech by Johannes Hasselhorn, a panel discussion and several methodological workshops, the conference offered the opportunity to present one’s own research and projects in poster sessions. Doris Lewalter used the opportunity to introduce the BILAD network to this interested community from cultural education. She presented current perspectives of educational research in the field of informal learning and discussed the role of authenticity and digitalisation for informal educational institutions with the participants.
